Book the barn

In our barn you can gather family and friends for weddings, birthdays and other festive events. We offer different solutions, whether you want to rent only the room and arrange everything yourself, rent the room with our catering delivery or if you want to sit back, relax and let us take care of everything!

In the barn you can be up to 90 seated people and the room is perfect for 45 people and up. For smaller groups it may be more suitable to stay in the main house/restaurant, where we can take up to 25 people in the same room and up to 45 people if we use both rooms.

Rental of the barn - just the room: NOK 8.500, - incl. VAT/day

If you rent the barn as it is - just the room - and nothing else has been agreed upon, the room is rented without a set up, but tables and chairs will be ready for you. We have both round and oblong square tables. See details about what kind of equipment the barn contains further down the page.  

Treat yourself:

  • Rental of tablecloths per piece: 105,- incl. VAT (the round tables need 2 tablecloths each).
  • Dishwashing after event (est. 4,5 hours) 2000,- incl. VAT (additional time will be charged with an hourly rate at NOK 390,- incl. VAT)
  • Hourly rate for assistance with up and down rig: NOK 390,- incl. VAT.

CATERING - BUFFET

Barn buffet, informal menu that is perfect for festive occations.

  • Hot and cold dishes from land and water 
  • Green salad, potato salad and pasta salad
  • Local smoked salmon and scrambled eggs

In the late hours
If you wish, we can deliver night food that you serve yourself.

  • Wraps: 120,-/pers

Especially when it comes to arranging weddings, it can be good to lower your shoulders and just enjoy the day. Like the other guests, you can relax completely and leave the food, drinks and execution to us.

We help you with the organization, the menu, the decorations, table setting and reception. If you already have a plan or want input and ideas, we will help you. Together we will create the perfect celebration.

Practical info about booking

As a tenant of the barn, you will be part of our establishment for that period of time. It is important for us to show consideration to the entire local community and we hope you will do so too. We greatly appreciate that you follow our guidelines in connection with your stay with us.

Below you will find key information for those of you who would like to rent the barn. You will also receive a contract for the tenancy.

  • Venue: The barn, 2. floor ca 220 sqm, and toilet on the ground floor of the operating building.
  • Outdoor area: Ca. 100 sqm right outside the barn, marked area.
  • The building: The barn is not insulated, has wooden floors and wooden ceiling with a ceiling hight of 4 meters

The barn has equipment for 90 people

If you rent the barn as it is/with catering - and nothing else has been agreed upon, the room is rented without a set up, but tables and chairs will be ready for you. We have both round and oblong square tables.   
If you book us to arrange your whole day, we will of course take care of everything that has to do with the room.

In northern Norway the weather can change quickly, and the temperature can drop in the middle of summer.

The barn is a perfect venue for music, and video viewing for speeches is also possible.

Fire safety is something we take very seriously, and it is important that everyone follows our guidelines:

  • The barn is so old and very dry that you must not take the chance to light candles in the room.
  • It can get cold inside the barn. If you rent a heater, it must only be used under inspection.
  • Craving a smoke? - do so outside in the designated area. We can promise beautiful views. Feel free to take the opportunity to go out and enjoy the surroundings even if you do not smoke.
  • The heating lamps in the ceiling have their fixed places, carefully installed by us. Let them hang, and we'll be happy.
  • Before leaving the room, all lamps and lights must be switched off, as shown in the fuse box. Do not leave the room with the heat lamps on or other heat sources on.
  • The door to the toilet and the door to the barn must be closed at the end of the event.
  • The tenants are obliged to be familiar with instructions in case of fire. See separate instructions that are handed out with your contract.
  • Serving of alcohol during events must follow the rules set out in Rana Municipality's law for drinking licenses. The rules state that drinking and serving of alcohol is permitted without a permit in premises that are rented or lent to private individuals for a single specific occasion for a closed group of people. This means that the tenant can serve alcohol to his guests or that the guests bring their own drinks.
  • It is not allowed to sell alcohol on the premises.
  • If Til Elise is responsible for all the organization (food, drinks and serving), we apply for a license to serve alcohol for the occasion and it will not be allowed to bring alcohol with you on the premises.
  • The event ends no later than 03.00. Even though we are in the country side, our neighbors also appreciate the silence at night. Please turn off the music at 02.30.
  • The venue must not be used in a way that impairs the property's reputation or appearance, or in the event of dust, noise, odor, vibration or other elements that bothers other tenants or neighbors.
  • We know it can be tough, but everything must be cleared and in order by 11.00 the next day. Talk to us if you need to sleep an hour longer.
  • Plates, cups, glasses, cutlery etc. must be washed in the dishwasher inside the kitchen. If you have dishwashing included in the rent, rinse glasses/cups and plates, and place in green baskets.
  • Dirty kitchen equipment is the most boring thing we know, therefore used kitchen equipment must be thoroughly cleaned and put back in place.
  • Tables and chairs are put in place in the room after use. The premises are left in a tidy condition.
  • The garbage is tied up and placed at the front door on the inside of the barn.
  • Everything stored in the house (belonging to the tenants) are there at your own risk. Unfortunately, we do not have the opportunity to take responsibility for forgotten things.
  • If the party "takes off" and tableware, cutlery and other things are damaged, it must be replaced. The tenant is responsible for other damage to equipment and premises.
  • The building is covered by the landlord's insurance for short-term rental.
  • The tenant is responsible for brought equipment and own belongings.
