We have suggested some short and some long walks you can enjoy immediately from the hotel, or with a short car ride. See the map and tour suggestions below.
The Bench
ONLY A SHORT DRIVE AWAY
Drive onto Brattlandsveien and to the parking lot (Brattlandsveien 110). From here you go past the barrier and follow the road straight ahead past two exits and up towards the mountain. Follow the road until you reach a larger hill. At the end of the hill you will see a gate. Go through the gate (remember to close it). Walk 10 meters past the gate and look to the right. There you will find the bench and a great vantage point.

The View
EASY TRIP STRAIGHT FROM THE HOTEL ROOM
Walk straight out of the hotel. Find markings between the Library and the Shed. Go up the small hill and through the old gate. Follow the red markings past the farm's old saw that nature has taken care of. When you come to a field clearance, see the markings on the tree pointing to the right. Go down the small tractor road and directly across the field. On the other side of the field you will see a new sign and further red markings. Go up a gentle hill and straight ahead, over a clearing and up into the woods. Behind the trees you come to a great view.

Lomtjønna
STRAIGHT FROM THE HOTEL ROOM
Walk straight from the hotel. Find markings towards Lomtjønna on the way to the parking lot. Go up to the main road and to the right. On the left side at the end of the field you will see a large board that has marked the hiking trails. Lomtjønna is located on the way to Utskarpen Naturtrase and is marked with red markings all the way. Might be smart to take a picture of the sign so you can see the map along the way. The trip to Lomtjønna is also a cultural trail made in collaboration with Utskarpen school and kindergarten. So you can see different tasks the children have had along the path. This trip takes the longest time of the trips we have recommended, and has some rough terrain on mountains / marshes.

The Dock, through Emma's road
STRAIGHT FROM THE HOTEL ROOM
Go straight on from the hotel and over the parking lot. Here you will find a sign for Emma's road which starts about 50 meters after the gravel road that lies after the parking lot.
Emma's road was built when we had to take the pedestrian and bicycle path into our own hands, and for our daughter, Emma and the neighbor's children to get safely to the pedestrian and bicycle path. Follow Emma's road until it stops and up the stairs to the guardrail and the bus stop, then cross the road carefully to get to the county municipal pedestrian and bicycle path. Follow the pedestrian and bicycle path until you see the dock.

Gapahuken and our small beach
STRAIGHT FROM THE HOTEL ROOM
Walk straight out of the room and past the patio and herb garden of the hotel. There you will find a path down to the sea.
Follow the path all the way down to the beach and about five meters before you are on the beach you will find the gapahuk on your left side.
Here you can light a fire or just enjoy the peace and quiet on one of the reindeer skins that you'll find there. In summer and autumn we also have hammocks ready for you to use.
After dark, there are lights along the entire path, but we recommend a headlight if you are going to visit the gapahuk.
