This wonderful place is a food destination unlike anything else, where farmers and chefs work side by side to create fantastic food and dining experiences.

Let me introduce you to our team

We are a small team of passionate individuals who strive to make the best experience for our customers.

Owner and head chef Marius Martinsen has experience from several high-end Oslo restaurants, including Michelin restaurant Haga. He will always ensure the team aims for quality and unique experiences for our guests.

Martin Dolz joined the team in 2021. He was born and raised in Argentina, with experience in kitchens worldwide. With a master´s in food and technology, Martin always strives to explore and impress.

Our restaurant manager Avin Salim came from Marriot Hotell in London to Utskarpen in 2020.

Besides, we have apprentices and colleagues in housekeeping, breakfast, service, and kitchen. Every part of our organization is equally important. Hence our team is dynamic and helps wherever needed.

About You

The Chef position is permanent and full time, but we have an excellent holiday allowance during our off periods.

We´d love you to have previous experience of working in a kitchen for at least 3 years, and most importantly have drive and ambition to further develop your skills and career with us.

You have experience with Nordic style cooking, and a passion for low local products and living side by side with nature.

You will work as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment, with high ambitions. We want you with the ability to support your collogues who enjoy interacting with people and are committed to serving food of the highest quality.

  • People & customer oriented, motivator & self-starter
  • Willing and able to work shift work
  • Team builder displays initiative & creativity
  • Fluent English or Norwegian speaker
  • Driver license

The Restaurant

Beautifully located right on the lakefront, this charming hotel offers one of Norway's top dining experiences. Our herbs, tomatoes and cucumbers are grown at our organic fields, and all products are selected and handpicked by Marius from local producers.

Selected days, the chef offers a 17-course menu, "from field to table," a rare and unique homemade gastronomic experience.

Welcome to Elise and Marius

Both Elise and Marius are trained chefs, and passionate about delivering excellent products to our customers. Before we moved to Utskarpen and established "Til Elise Fra Marius" we both joined
"The Norwegian National Chef Team" and worked at culinary restaurants such as Kulinarisk Akademi, Restaurant Oro and Haga Restaurant, among others.

Now we are excited to welcome new members to our team.
